Ellipsis in comparative clauses
Although special care must be taken to avoid ambiguity, ellipsis is particularly common
in comparative constructions .
Ellipsis in comparative constructions can be simple:
No one knows your code better than you [^]. (Bank of English)
or rather more complex:
You'll find with Asian girls in particular that they rely on their family more than guys will [^]. (Bank of English)
If only De Luca had stayed in touch he would have realized that Montini's commitment to art was as deep as his own [^]. (Bank of English)
"Sustainable Development" is a phrase we hear a lot, especially applied to agriculture. But it is not as simple to achieve as [^] to talk about!
