Indicating low likelihood (weak possibility)

Nouns which are commonly used to indicate low likelihood include:

chance idea
fear danger
speculation possibility
claim  

The nouns in the following examples indicate low likelihood or weak possibility:

Doctors from Queen Elizabeth Hospital testified that the victims had little chance of survival. (SCMP 20/8/92)

During the past few months, senior police have been examining the possibility of giving women officers permission to carry guns on duty. (SCMP 11/3/94)
