Inappropriate collocations
Many students are able to use nominalisations grammatically. However, in a large number
of cases the verbs chosen are unusual or collocate inappropriately:

When presenting or reviewing vocabulary, it is important to focus on the surrounding language, especially the verbs which go together with nouns such as these.
