Problems with the form

Students tend to avoid nominalisations, and when they do use nominalised forms, there are certain problems, especially with the use of determiners :

Later, the doctor entered and tried to catch the snakes. All the clients tried to take their pets out of the clinic, but there were very difficulty because all the pets were out of control. (TeleNex Students)

When presenting or reviewing vocabulary, it is important to focus on the surrounding language, especially the structures which go together with certain words.
