Using linking verbs
Linking verbs like be, seem, look, become, symbolise and represent
are used to link a noun with a complement. The complement is normally either another
noun, an adjective or a prepositional phrase
:
But now the rains had stopped and the lack of water became a problem.

He looked extremely nervous as he was led into the cavernous courtroom.
